Cara Monica, i enjoyed a lot your story. I love citrus . My dad had a lemon tree and orange tree in his garden. i remind the perfum when the trees were in bloom.
The recipes are great and very tasty, endeed . The lemon always gives a special touch to meals.
It's always a pleasure to read your fantastic blog.
Thank you for the lovely read. I have broccoli in my garden so I will make that recipe first. I too, love lemons best of all citrus, they’re so versatile and bright. That being said, we have the most beautiful, sweet, and juicy orange tree just outside of our dining room window. My father in law planted it many years ago. As for gifting fruit trees, I think it is the loveliest idea. In fact, a friend gifted us with a Meyer Lemon tree two years ago. 💛
Sending healing energy your way. A girl cannot truffle with a snuffle!
I loved to read about your garden! I was there for a while, so beautiful! and I'm happy to know that these recipes are useful. Ps I have an epic cold, poor me! maybe truffle tomorrow (lol!)
Dear Monica, all 3 recipes are fantastic, but if I had to choose... I'd prefer one of the last 2. I hope your cold is better!!! Take care of yourself, and I hope to enjoy some of your wonderful recipes when we're next back in Bologna!
I must admit I also have a preference. Stuffed bottoni are the bomb. Then you know I love making fresh pasta. Mamma Mia Hugo! I often think of you, asking myself: who knows when my friends can plan a new holiday in Italy? We have many things to do and many trains to catch (if they leave, lol!). My broken tours are just waiting for you. Please, give un bacio to Patricia.
I was reading your post to my wife, Amy, and she turned to look at me and said, “Lemon and olive trees as gifts? It’s my dream!” I’m glad you dodged those flying tiles. Hopefully your cold is short lived. Be well!
This cold is annoying, and I hope it will pass soon. My husband is very nurturing and bought 100g of marzolino truffle (marzolino means "from March"; it is a little early this year), saying to me: I'm sure you will smell and taste it even with a stuffy nose. I guess it will be true! Anyway, when in Italy, we could plan a visit to the old country home with you and Amy (a few miles from Bologna downtown). Winter is not its best season; we'll see the weather! Greetings to you
These all look wonderful! You are a lovely storyteller bringing things to life through words. Thank you.
Dear Maree, your words light me up, grazie!

Dear amica who lives too far from me, your memory is a gift, grazie

My mouth is watering!
What a lovely read.
And I’d love to try those bottoni.
Grazie Gabrielle! We loved these bottoni (this is a fairly easy to make fresh pasta recipe). Un abbraccio, x
Se li provo te lo dirò! Prima devo convincere mia moglie a mangiare agrumi nella pasta ☺️.
Right :))

That sounds absolutely lovely. And I believe truffle must cure everything!
